Godey's Lady's Book, alternatively known as Godey's Magazine and Lady's Book, was an American women's magazine that was published in Philadelphia from 1830 to 1878. It was the most widely circulated magazine in the period before the Civil War.  Its circulation rose from 70,000 in the 1840s to 150,000 in 1860.[2] In the 1860s Godey's considered itself the "queen of monthlies".

Elderman was the editorial cartoonist for the Washington Post throughout the 1930s and early 1940s. He worked as a civil engineer in a steel mill before he joined the Washington Post in 1932, having previously worked as an animator. He left the Washington Post in 1942 to serve in the U.S. Army. He was a cartoonist for the Office of War Information's "Victory" magazine. After the Second World War, he was replaced at the Washington Post by Herblock whose first cartoon was published there on 3 January 1946.

Steve Brodner (1954) is a satirical illustrator and caricaturist.  Currently a regular contributor to GQ, The Nation, Newsweek, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times, Brodner's art journalism has appeared in most major magazines and newspapers in the United States, such as Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Esquire, Time, Playboy, Mother Jones, Harper's, and The Atlantic.His work, first widely seen exposing and attacking Reagan-era scandals, is credited with helping spearhead the 1980s revival of pointed and entertaining graphic commentary in the US. He is currently working on a book about the presidents of the United States.

Florencio Molina Campos 1891 – 1959) was an Argentine illustrator and a painter known by his typical traditional scenes of the Pampa. His work represents gauchesco scenes with a bit of humor.

In the late 1940s he was engaged as a creative artist consulting for the studio of his long-time friend Walt Disney. Together during their trips to Bariloche they worked on the creation of characters for the 1942 animated film, Bambi.   As an artistic consultant with the Disney studios he also contributed in the creation of inexpensive package films including Saludos Amigos (1942), its sequel The Three Caballeros (1945), Fun and Fancy Free (1947) and in the original movie poster of Alice in Wonderland (1951).

"General Mills developed the central component for Fall Out Shelter Survival Kits, a gallon can containing a granulated protein mix called Multi-Purpose Food (MPF). General Mills had experimented with shelf-stable food engineered for fallout shelters since 1960. Served hot or cold, wet or dry, three scoops of MPF were all shelter occupants needed to meet required daily nutrients and caloric intake. General Mills recommended adding MPF to other foods, such as tomato juice for breakfast and peanut butter sandwiches for dinner, suggesting the product's flavor may have been less than desirable. If requested, General Mills would even supply innovative recipes for cooking the post-nuclear apocalypse staple."
